Goals and a start date


So I signed back up with Bloglovin.  That way I can get back to reading and interacting with my fellow bloggerfriends.  Link is below:

Having bloggerfriends who share the same struggles and victories is a huge motivation for me and I know that will be an important step along my journey.

I've been doing a good bit of thinking this week as to how I want to proceed and I have a very rudimentary game plan I believe.

I need to get back to logging my food.  Time to dust off My Fitness Pal again.  I know the numbers will not be pretty. I am and always have been pretty okay with eating the same thing day in and day out, so eventually (hopefully) this will become second nature again.  I'm also in the process of eliminating junk food from my house (oh god, why is there so much of it?  I kid... I know why...I'm the asshole who bought it all).  rebootingdes is my name there.  Feel free to add me if you want.

Exercise.  Yes.  I've got to find a plan and stick to it.  Right now my thoughts are at the very minimum plan for 3 days per week and at least 30 minutes per day.  I cannot skip ahead and think daily exercise streaks or anything of the sort because I will get burnt out faster my first and only attempt at playing Fortnite - which lasted approximately 43 seconds.  I "noped" out of there so fast!


To sum up:

1. Get back to blogging and interacting with others in the same boat.  Blogging, Reddit, Instagram are all tools that I will use to find my inner peace and get this metaphorical boat headed in the right direction.  *Also, I'll go ahead and say it now.  Do not try to sell me wraps, vitamins or other MLM snake oil treatments.  I am not interested.)
2. Log EVERYTHING.  The good, the bad, the ugly.  I need the accountability more than anything right now.
3. At the very minimum 3 days a week of at least 30 minutes of activity.  I'm starting slow.  I can't just dive in and go balls to the wall with this.  

In news concerning the exercise front.  I'm pretty excited to break these in!


I've also gone ahead and taken my dreaded "before" pics.  I'm definitely not sharing those right now.  I will also need to go ahead and do my measurements as well and once I find my tape measure.  

For right now, all these will be implemented on June 1st.  Monday.  So cliche' but it worked initially the other 867 times I've started and stopped, so why not one more go at a Monday start date.  

So there it is.  My plans will sure to be tweaked a bit a long the way but it's a start at least.  I'll report in next week with an update or two.  I'll leave you a pic of my favorite boy in the universe.

  2. I *think those are the same shoes I have but not sure. Different colors. Hubby is a Brooks junkie so Brooks are worn in this house. Lol

    I'm not going to say welcome back. I am going to say that I was in the same boat 5 to 6 yrs ago. Lost 40lb and they found myself back in weight loss land in dec 18/jan 19.
