New week
It was a fairly uneventful week for me. For the most part my eating was on track. I only had fast food once (Friday) but I did slack up a bit on logging my food this weekend. I mean, I pretty much know how I eat and in the 5 or 6 years of intermittent food logging, I know what my calorie intake consists of and what it doesn't. I did go meet my parents this morning for beignets so my day is pretty much in the crapper already, haha. But I'm planning on a good dinner and I'll probably have a turkey wrap for lunch. All is not quite lost.
I think (and I hope) my plan this week will be to focus on getting more exercise in and more water. It's time to start bumping those up. Last weeks exercise was a bit lackluster. I only managed to play tennis (albeit twice - one was a match and one was practice) but if anything playing tennis twice made me realize how horribly out of shape I am right now. I knew it was bad, but I was slapped in the face with it. On the Tuesday night match, when I was serving to them, they figured out that I am fat and slow (which to no one's surprise really) and they exploited that weakness. I mean, in all fairness, I totally would have done the same. They ended up lobbing the ball over my partners head which meant that I had to run the ball down. Needless to say, I was very sore these last few days and my hips have been "tweaky". So, it's definitely time to start upping the exercise and stamina for sure. And for good measure let me go ahead and get my whine out of the way for the entire summer but "WAHH ITS SOOO HOT". Because I will totally be saying that on repeat.
Other than that, work has been nuts. I'm really hoping that after this week things will begin to even out a bit and we can focus on the main project that we were called back to work on. Once that is finished, then I will be able to transition to working from home 3 days per week. And that is what I'm really looking forward to because I feel like those three days I will be able to get up and get something done early before having to start my work day. Plus, I can always shower on my morning break and then transition back into jammies for the remainder of working. Anyways, that's my hope at least. Obviously I have failed at waking up at 4:45 am to do it as it stands currently. Plus, I just honestly don't feel safe walking in my neighborhood before dawn. I guess it's different when you are married and have someone here looking out for you. Once neighbors start getting up and moving around a bit, I feel a bit better, but I think long gone are those pre-dawn walks/runs for me. The sun starts to rise around 6 am here and if I can get my butt out the door, I'll be able to get a good 45 minutes to an hour in before I start work at 7.
I haven't really done a whole lot this week either. More or less deflated into the couch when not working or at tennis. I did start watching Upload on Amazon Prime. I needed something new to start since I have finished Schitt's Creek and I'm all caught up on What We Do In The Shadows. Are you watching anything lately? Feel free to make recommendations!
Also Happy Father's day to all the dad's out there!

Yay,it sounds like you are still in a good place, even with one or two meals that may not be what you deem perfection! Next time you play those opponents in tennis they will be expecting the same gal...little do they know that they are going to get the new improved super turbo charged opponent!!!
ReplyDeletehaha I wish! Hopefully soon though! :)
DeleteAny movement is good movement! I hope that your body is feeling less sore now.
ReplyDeleteI tend to reach back to oldies when I have the TV on. Stuff I have seen a million times but that still interest me. Like Scrubs for instance when I am cooking dinner or what not.
My husband is currenty watching Schitt's Creek. I am just not into that style humor.
